This page explains what Clipping Lab reads from a connected TikTok or YouTube account, what it does with it, and how to make it stop.

01 What we connect to, and why

YouTube	YouTube Data API — `youtube.upload` scope, plus a read-only API key for public search	Upload operator-approved clips (as private/unlisted video), and search publicly available YouTube videos to inform what gets clipped.

02 What we do not do

We don't read a connected account's private messages, contacts, or content it hasn't given us for upload.
We don't sell, rent, or share account data with advertisers or other third parties.
We don't publish anything on a connected TikTok account — every TikTok upload lands as a private draft the account owner still has to open and publish inside TikTok themselves.

03 What we store, and for how long

We store: the OAuth token needed to keep the connection working (until it's revoked or expires), and a record of what was uploaded and when (for troubleshooting and to avoid uploading the same clip twice). Source video used to generate a clip is not kept once the clip has been produced.

04 Revoking access

TikTok — in the TikTok app: Settings and privacy → Security → Manage account connections, then remove Clipping Lab.

YouTube / Google — myaccount.google.com/connections, then remove Clipping Lab.

Revoking access there stops any further upload immediately. To also have already-stored tokens and upload history deleted on our side, email contact@venkai.fr.

05 Changes to this policy

If Clipping Lab's data use changes — for example, moving from draft-only TikTok uploads to direct publishing — this page will be updated first, and the effective date above will reflect that.
